Trinity Church Victor Harbor is part of a larger network of churches across Adelaide, called the Trinity Network.
Our Story
The Trinity Network
In 1836, Trinity Church Adelaide was founded as the pioneer church for the colony of South Australia. The building still stands on the corner of North Terrace and Morphett Street and has a strong and growing community.
While Trinity is thankful to God for its past, the focus of its vision is to the future. In the 1990s, Trinity Church Adelaide decided that planting new congregations across Adelaide was the best way of reaching new people. As a result, multiple churches have been planted since then.
The Trinity Network includes:
- Trinity Church Adelaide
- Trinity Church Aldgate
- Trinity Church Brighton
- Trinity Church Campbelltown
- Trinity Church Colonel Light Gardens
- Trinity Church Golden Grove
- Trinity Church Lockleys
- Trinity Church Modbury
- Trinity Church Mount Barker
- Trinity Church Para Hills
- Trinity Church Tonsley
- Trinity Church Unley
- Trinity Church Victor Harbor
- Trinity Church Woodcroft
The Establishment of Trinity Church Victor Harbor
Over a few years Trinity Church Mount Barker had increasing numbers travelling from the south coast to attend church each Sunday. This prompted Trinity Church Mount Barker to start a Bible study group at Middleton on Sunday nights in June 2014. The group met in the Middleton Pioneer Hall, growing to include two adult small groups, a youth group and a children’s program.
Before long it became apparent that God was giving us a great opportunity to start a new church, so that more people from across the south coast might come to know Jesus, and be built to maturity in him. Trinity Church Mount Barker started a conversation with Duncan Andrews and Cameron Munro at Trinity Church Aldgate about the possibility of Duncan Andrews becoming the founding pastor for a church plant on the south coast. This developed over the second half of 2014 with the public launch on Easter Sunday 2015. It is a joy to see this organic process result in the planting of a new church.
International Partners
Trinity Church Victor Harbor partners with the Church Missionary Society (CMS). We’re keen to see the gospel shared across the whole world. We’re also aware that we have a great opportunity to give generously to support gospel work in countries with a desperate need for Jesus; so we encourage all our regulars to dig deep in support of our CMS missionaries.
