Join us as we read through the Bible’s book of Isaiah! Over April and May we will be looking at a section from chapters 25-35.
Isaiah is the second most quoted Old Testament book in the New Testament – only behind the Psalms. That shows something of how important Isaiah is to understand who Jesus is, and what he’s done for us.
At a key moment in John’s gospel as Jesus heads towards the cross, John quotes from 2 places in Isaiah, and then writes this: “Isaiah said this because he saw Jesus’ glory and spoke about him” (John 12:41)
The view we get as we read Isaiah is a view of the glory of Jesus. So our prayer is that as we hear this incredible book, we would see Jesus more clearly, see his glory and beauty, and be changed by his transforming power.
